In Babelsberg, a location rich in tradition, we have always worked with the best. The name Hermes Synchron stands for a clear concept in the right context, the perfect voice, and the best sound. We focus on one thing only: the success of your product!
Hermes Synchron is founded in Berlin-Neukölln by writer and director Ingo Hermes.
Until the mid-70s, the company’s focus lies on dubbing cinematic releases for different distributors. The boom in video and TV production and the introduction of commercial TV channels in Germany allows Hermes Synchron to how into one of the biggest dubbing service providers nationally.
Ingo Hermes realizes a lifelong dream: He moves the company to the place where he trained at Deutsche Film AG (DEFA) – the Studio Babelsberg. There, he builds a state-of-the-art dubbing studio with over 1000 square meters.
A new generation at the helm: After the death of Ingo Hermes, Jörg Hermes takes over his father´s business.
The owners of the highly respected dubbing company RC Production buy Hermes Synchron: Tobias Kunze and Christian Wunder begin to work for the continued success of the company.
Christian Wunder becomes the sole owner of the companies Hermes Synchron and RC Production. With the combined know-how of both companies, they´re now dubbing blockbusters, features, and TV shows for internationally operating clients at the highest and most efficient level.
